Methodist Author to Preach!
Date: April 30, 2006 Description: Reverend Dr. John Fanestil will be at First Church. Author of Mrs. Hunter's Happy Death. The book traces the journal writing of a Mrs. Hunter as she apporaches the end of her life!
All Church Family Camp Out
Date: May 19-21 Place: Lake Cachuma Description: Sign up in Parlor from 10 to 10:45 AM! 13 RV Pads with water and electricity - $60 for two nights. Pitch a tent for $30 for two nights. If not, come for the day for $6 at the gate to stay until sunset!
Trotter Hall Celebration!
Date: June 4th Place: On Campus Description: Come celebrate with us in our celebration for the completion of the refurbishment of Trotter Hall. The day will start with combine worship at 9:30 AM and continue with Brunch and Activities in Trotter hall following the worship service. Food, fun, and fellowship!
Lay Sunday!
On Sunday, October 15th, Church Council chairperson Jeff Brackett will be preaching. This is also the Sunday in which we will discuss as brothers and sisters in Christ, the future of our church in regards to becoming a reconciling ministry congregation. Join us for a combine worship starting at 9:30 AM. After which, we will have brunch and go right into the discussion. In the afternoon, judges Steve Paren and Mindy Johnson will hold a ballot initiatve session in which, in detail, they will share with us the intricacies of the number of propositions on our ballot! Fall/Halloween Festival!
On Sunday, October 29th, join us for an evening of fun and food. A carnival style celebration will start at 4 PM at the Gym of the Church. At 5:30 PM, food will be served. Bring a salad or a desert to share, we will feed you spaghetti for dinner! Call Church Office for more information.
Alternative Christmas Faire!
In honor of The One whose birthday we celebrate, give a gift of love to your family, friends or clients by purchasing a gift in a loving way. All crafts and gifts are donations to a great non-profit organization. Date: Sunday, Dec. 10th Time: 10 to 12 Noon Place: Church's Trotter Hall.
UMW Christmas Tea Program!
The United Methodist Women invite everyone to their Christmas Tea Program. Pat McPherson will sing a variety of Christmas music accompanied by Karen Corbett. Refreshments will be provided by the Hope Fellowship. Place: Sanctuary at the Church Date: Saturday, Dec. 16th Time: 1 PM.
